About us

In March of 1998, TAS Refrigerated Distribution was founded with a simple philosophy: that prioritizing customer service and flexibility leads to mutual success in business. Over the years, this approach has allowed us to build mutual trust with our customers, a great reputation, and thrive as a company. Integrity, Transparency, and Responsibility are at the core of our success, guiding how we treat Customers, Suppliers, Employees, and all stakeholders.

Our customers benefit from premium quality service and a personal touch. In an evolving and increasingly complex industry, we offer consistency and reliability, never taking for granted the trust placed in us.

Our Commitment

Health & Safety

We take our role in the health and safety of our employees very seriously. To this end, all of our facilities meet the required provincial norms set out by the various provincial Health and Safety Boards. We believe Health and Safety to be a collaborative endeavour, which is why we actively promote dialog between our employees and management team. This ensures that our programs are conducive to a safe, efficient working environment.

Supporting Local Communities with Cold Storage Resources

At TAS, we are committed to making a difference in our communities. To this end, we support local food banks and other charities. Often, food banks receive generous donations but lack the necessary storage space. TAS steps in and provides storage space to these great organizations to ensure their donations are preserved.

Certifications in Food Safety, Cold Storage & Transportation

TAS Refrigerated Distribution Inc. has long been committed to excellence in cold storage and transportation. To this end, we have accumulated a variety of certifications to guarantee our locations are operated with efficiency and safety in mind.

AIB International

The American Institute of Bakers audits TAS warehouses annually on a randomized basis. TAS is inspected by AIB International under the requirements of the AIB International Consolidated Standards for Inspection Prerequisite & Food Safety Programs for Food Distribution Centers. Most recently, TAS Brampton, Ontario site was inspected on January 24, 2025. TAS St Laurent, Quebec site was inspected on January 24, 2025. TAS Delta, British Columbia site was inspected on January 25, 2025. and TAS Calgary, Alberta site was inspected on April 25, 2025.

Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points

All of our warehouses have been certified by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) as approved Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) facilities. This certification ensures that all products passing through TAS meet all required federal standards. The program is designed to protect the integrity of all food products handled by TAS. The program is continuously monitored and evaluated to ensure that procedures are followed and current standards are met.

Canadian Food Inspection Agency

All of our facilities are federally recognized inspection establishments where the Canadian Food Inspection Agency perform meat and fish inspections on products being imported into Canada. Being a federal establishment, we can offer daily inspection services with an on-site CFIA inspector.
